Classes at Cwmbran are limited to a maximum of 12 students, classes at Hilltop are limited to a maximum of 8 students. Refreshments are provided. Weekly classes are of 2.5 hours duration, at a cost of £10 per session, booked in advance in blocks. Materials will be provided for absolute beginners to use on the day, other students are asked to bring their own! If you would like a materials list, please contact me. To accommodate students who may have holiday plans and are unable to make a block booking, “pay as you go” places may be available at £12 per session; please contact me to find out availability. However, students who have already booked a block session are welcome to attend extra sessions at any venue at a concessionary fee of £10. This one day course is a great opportunity to get inspired by a handpicked selection from the Museum's collection of over 7,000 botanical prints and drawings, many dating back to the eighteenth century. The stories behind these images are rich and intriguing in their own right. Museum Curator Dr Heather Pardoe will be on hand to tell you more. There will also be live specimens on hand to create your own beautiful painting. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
